Privacy Policy

Stokpot is a recipe, inventory, and shopping-list app. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can have it removed.

What we collect

• Account information: the username and email address you register with, and your password. Your password is never stored in plain text — it's hashed before it ever touches our database, and we can't read it back even if we wanted to.
• Content you create: recipes, inventory items, and shopping lists you add while using the app.

We don't collect location data, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we don't run any analytics or advertising tracking in the app.

Why we collect it

• Your email is used to verify your account and to send password-reset codes — nothing else.
• Your username and password are used to sign you in and keep your account secure.
• Your recipes, inventory, and shopping lists exist to make the app work — that's the entire point of the data.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of third-party services to run Stokpot. Each only sees what it needs to do its specific job:

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for advertising purposes. Full stop.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen in the app, or from this page if you're not signed in on a device. Either way, this permanently removes your account, login credentials, and everything you've created — recipes, inventory, and shopping lists — from our database. This can't be undone. Residual data may be retained briefly in backups before full removal.

Children's privacy

Stokpot isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
